I need to know if a Barco 808S with article number R900902 is the same machine as one with article number R900903? Is all the cards in them interchangeable?

Cheers
Kjell

Being one number apart, they should be. The boards are all numbered, if they don't match, don't swap them.

Could it be that one is Iris/2 and the other Iris/3?

The R9000902 is the 230V model:
http://www.curtpalme.com/docs/BarcoGraphics808s_Brochure.pdf
The R9000903 is the 230V model with the newer EHT board.
http://www.curtpalme.com/docs/BarcoServiceBulletin_R762716_New_EHT.pdf

So they are not exactly the same. The EHT circuits, EHT-parts and the motherboard are different. All other parts are the same.
(Depending on what year/make your R9000902 is, there is a small chance it also has the newer boards inside. Barco produced some models with the mods under the old ordernumber.)

And yes, I did use Google.... Wink

ok, thanks guys. After checking, one is actually Iris2 while the other is iris3.
I'll open them up and have a look at the numbers, (if I can figure out what number to check, at first glance all the numbers marked on a stickie on top of the cards all had the same number).

google? Smile

The number on the tops of the boards is usually the serial number of the projector they are from. The part number is usually on a sticker on the bottom part of the board on the gray connector that connects to the projector when the board is inserted. Barco board numbers usually start with R76.

Check the EHT, EHT-quadrupler and EHT-splitter. These parts can have different numbers, and if they do they cannot be interchanged.
