Could someone please have a look of the post I made here

http://www.curtpalme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=122247#122247

and tell me what I can do, besides reseating everything?

Ciao

Just saw Robocop on it. Never saw the flickering. Saw them only within 5 minutes after turning it on. Last day I saw them 50 minutes after turned on so I suppose it's not a cold/hot issue. And I suppose is a stupid thing.

I'm guessing there's something bad on the CA (B) video output board. I have spares..

Thanks Curt.

I'll reseats all the cards, then I'll check deeply CA(B).

Then I'll write you Smile

What about if I swap the RCA inputs of the CA(RG) with the CA(B) board? I'd like to feed the, say, RED signal into the BLUE input. If the flickering is on RED, CA(B) is not guilty and the issue is before it. If flickering is still on BLUE, than CA(B) or tube or neckboard or HV leads can be guilty.

Can I swap that RCA connectors safetly?

Ciao, thanks

Yes, absolutely. That will let you know whether it's before the output stage.

What a lucky - or unlucky - man...

Opened the 1271, checked the blu HV lead. Was loose!!!! I never touched it, since I bought this one. I thinkered with my older 1271 and with a 1272 but never with it!
Wow, two years of play with an HV lead loose!!!

I put 1 hour to plug it, perhaps the splitter is slightly damaged because I have a spare splitter and a spare HV lead and with it no trouble at all.

I'll close the thing and I'll test it.

Just a question, just in case. The Sony''s splitter has 4 plugs, one closed by a cap. In case, can I use all of them? I mean, can I remove the cap and connect a tube on the spare plug? Is there a specific order?

I'll let you know the results.

Ciao and thanks

Antonio

Edit: after 100minutes of viewing, the flickering seems to has gone away. Thanks to all for suggestions.
