I use the AVIA disc, and it can be had for dirt cheap on eBay. You NEED one of these, well worth the $20-30.

What exactly do you mean and need to calibrate? There are a lot of calibration discs available, some of them are even free such as the AVS HD 709 disc: www.AVSHD709.com (But you have to know what you're doing).

so far its just my 360 and hd sat rec. i want to try and converge my pg+ via the source instead of the internal test patterns

360 with HD DVD drive, or just DVD?

For the HD Sat, you need to record the HDNet test patterns.
