While it doesn't bother me, it is an indirect ad for amazon.com, since it links to the thread with all of the amazon.com links.

I always saw that more as a feature, not an ad - it lists all of the releases by date and gives a bunch of "must-have" titles too based on audio/video quality and even mentions which are region free so that other regions can buy US discs too. It's a ton of work to maintain as I do it by hand. Yes, the links all go to Amazon so that if people purchase that way a small percentage automatically goes towards the hosting costs of this forum.

It's not an ad in my opinion, it's a link to some good information on this forum. The links make it easier to support the forum. That's something we all could benefit from.
