stick into my 8000 for the extra 200 lumens ?

or are there mods i need to do first ?

Yes, you can. you'll most likely need to tweak adjustments and focus, that's about it.

You can do the resistor and cap mod to the 8110's HVPS if you want to, here is a how to do it thread.

Hello

Earlier 8110s had 34.0kv high voltage supplies, same as 8000; what does the label say on the one you want to use? Also, Marquees with 34.9kv supplies had more xray shielding.

I wouldn't bump up the 34Kv, you're asking for trouble.. Frankly I've done direct swaps, and there really isn't any difference from what I saw.
