Hmm - I forget what the control unit model is, it's the one that connects via the umbilical to my 1020.

The thing has developed an extremely annoying problem: When gearing up to watch a DVD, from either the $20 bestbuy player or the pS2, sometimes it will lose video, go to an all-blue screen for 2-3 seconds and then lose raster, as if you had unplugged the video cable. The projector remains on; and if you change the source, even going to a VHS vcr, you can "hear" the HV change in the projector but no video will display. Even if you unplug/plug AV sources on the control unit, it refuses to display video - and switching "NORMAL" to "TEST" on the PJ won't give you a test hatch. The only way to force it to display video again is to switch the thing on and off quickly at the control unit - but i'm not about to stress the PJ by doing that. I've taken to just disconnecting the umbilical and connecting directly to the projector when it pulls that crap, but it still quickly switches off as you disconnect the umb cord and powers back on after its gone. What a PITA that is, snce i only have one BNC adapter. It used to just flash blue for a quick half of a second and then flash back to video, now it will do it once or twice, and then a bit later go all blue, and lose raster.

Well, the controller is a VPR-722S but I have no clue as to what is causing your problem. I can send you another controller for the cost of shipping if you like. I'm getting rid of my 10xx stuff. (and a 1272 but that would cost too much to ship to SA) I bought me a 9" LC machine.
