OK, this has been odd....

I have a friend's BG808S here while he moves, it has run alright except for a random
fluctuation in output, visible mainly on a static desktop image, which has developed
over the last year, according to the owner....

Tonight, after I had run it no problem earlier in the day, it decided
to begin flashing all three tubes, red lights are blinking on smps and
G2 diagnostics boards. Swapped G2, SMPS, and EHT with no effect.

I can hear high voltage begin to come on and then shuts down.
Is this a symptom of a failing Quadrupler possibly...?

Any ideas welcome, the parts I swapped in were known good,
tested working units, and I did use all three at once....

Thanks,
Galen

Yes, sounds like an HVPS problem. Splitter, quad, EHT board?

Thanks Curt,
You are an early riser, and I appreciate the help.
I will swap the splitter and then the quad, and we will
see what happens. I had already tried the EHT with
no improvement.
Cheers,
Galen
