OK, easter is 1 day (also sunday). Good Friday is 1 day. So, no Saturday. OK, I see three days there. Why 4?

Hey, my kid is going to do that, but I don't get 4 days off because of it!!!!! In fact, I get no extra days off!

Well, you were right. Canada Post seems to think my package is still in Ontario even though I just picked it up at the post office this morning!

really.
What the hell do they put bar codes on things for then? if the system cannot be automated enough to pick up this data, why bother to put it there in the first place.
This is HIGH Canadian Taxes at work, at their best.

There is no such thing as "Easter Monday"
Easter is Sunday--Monday off too. No wonder you guys are not an economic powerhouse.

so I finally give my daughter an ultimatum - send me your T4's or process your income tax return yourself. So she says "but I'll be home for Easter. I can bring them then". But NO! I says to put them in the mail today because I'll get them faster and she'll forget to bring them anyway....... so that was Sat. Mar 15, 10 days, Toronto to Sudbury. Nothing as of today......
and that is why, my international friends, in Canada no one uses the phrase "Cheque's in the mail".

Why would you throw in a generalization like that?
Are you implying that because canada post does not update a webpage in a timely manner......forget it.
its not worth the carpel tunnel abuse.

I went to mail a package to the US today at my local post office. The woman I got was new, she couldnt figure out what to do on the computer to send the 8 oz box to the US. SHe called the other girl. The young REALLY HOT one. Could be an avatar here..
I've written here about the young hot one before. Smokin' hot, but dumb as nails.
I was sending the package to In. As in Indiana.
She looks at the address on the box and says 'In. As in Illinois, right?".
I say "No, as in Indiana".
She says: "Well, whatever, close enough"
That turned me on so much, I had to do her right there on the post office counter.

Well I just sent a package to Moome via Canada Post and he got it in less than a week. I'd say that's pretty good.

Yes, I had the same experience with a package sent to Australia, UK, Norway, Sweden and Finland.
The common denominator seems to be US Customs.....
thats still no excuse as to why they are incapable if updating the website status.

It was a slam both against the U.S.'s former economic status compared to our current one, as well as a slam against the laziness of the rest of the world (no one in the industrialized world seems to be willing to work as hard as us).

Slam to both of us.
The U.S. because we are destroying a great economy.
Canada because you guys are lazy (come on, a 4 day weekend for Easter?!?!?!? In the U.S. it is either a normal two day or a three day--and the mail is still delivered the Saturday before Easter!). I know you guys don't rank as lazy as the Europeans, but you're lazier than us.
