LOL......I'm just playin with you guys. I dont really have any gripes with Marquee. Actually I'm trying to work out a deal on a 4600 chassis right now and if it goes through I may want to try a burnt thomas tube if you got any.

Of course I dont have any gripes with Ampro's either so when they are insulted I find myself unable to refrain from retaliation... Twisted Evil

I know, it is fun going back and forth although I think Chip really means what he says Wink

I have worn tubes and some are actually not too bad, and if you can even out the wear pattern like MYoung
they'd be pretty nice. I am saving the good tubes for myself and Cliff for now, i have to go and go through them all again to see what's in the inventory. Very Happy

I should buzz Aferg and see if he still has any old tubes.

Sweet George!!! that is very very cool.

Next time i think you can get the tubes out of the AC housings by soaking the tube in turpentine for about 8 hours or over night and it will pop right out. then you wont have to ruin the housing.

Nice project George! Thumbs Up

I made similar project some time ago, but other way around. I installed M8500 tubes and Barco HD10 optics to my BG808s.

Nice! I have added "more" heatsink also to HDM. Here is alternative vesion to add airflow (it works different than yours) It sucks air from inside, so it keeps original airflow direction. Also i´m planning to made temp.controller to that fan, so it start spinning when heat sink has reached it´s operating temperature.

The switch for the h defl power supply also benefits from an improved heat sink.
