Can someone recommend a quality VGA splitter that is to be used after the output of the RTC-2200?

I need to drive my PG, along with a transcoder connected to an older CRT RPTV simultaneously. I have tried a cheapo VGA "Y" cable, but it degraded the signal.

I am considering this one below... price is good, but I still dont want to waste money or time if avoidable.
Monoprice splitter

Thanks,
Dan

If all you need to do is switch, that one might be fine. I got an inexpensive 2x4 vga matrix switch a few years ago from a company called axentmicro.com (but their website no longer seems to be responding). The manufacturer is still around, but their list price is outrageous:

It looks identical to the one on monoprice here:

Its cool, you have two inputs and 4 outputs and can have either of the inputs go to any combination of the outputs. Its also does a little signal amplification that might help if you have a long cable run.

Look on eBay under 'Extron' They make excellent SVGA active splitters.

Extron P2DA2 Plus should work. It would have to be a Plus though. Doug

Opinions requested:

Would there be any noticable difference in the video quality Extron vs. Monoprice? I am also considering this. The Monoprice is only $17, has higher bandwidth.

Can only recommend what I have used before. I can tell you the one above lasts. Be careful on VGA standards so it doesnt top out at 800X600. Doug

" The Extron P/2 DA2 PLUS enables the output of a computer to be run to two displays. The P/2 DA2 PLUS is a one input, two output high-resolution VGA distribution amplifier with 270 MHz (-3 dB) RGB video bandwidth, capable of driving any VGA–UXGA computer signal a distance of up to 250 feet (75 meters) using the Extron high resolution VGA cable. The P/2 DA2 PLUS provides the ability to split a VGA–UXGA input into two outputs and includes a standard VGA input cable."

Thanks gents. I picked up an Extron P/2 DA2 Plus off of ebay for $40.

Curt- the PGXtra I got from you a year ago is still going strong with rock solid stability - even with an additional 750 hours on the 3.5K hour tubes.

I just added a PS3 with the HD Fury to the RTC2000, and it's now incredible how good blu-ray and HD cable look on this set. Nice improvement overall.

Thanks again to all here who contribute here regularly. Thumbs Up

Dan
