Clunker?? That would offend me just a bit also.. A 9501LC is a very capable machine no matter how you look at it. If I were the one that just got it, I'd be quite happy about that and anyone that knocked me for it would be hearing a few choice words....
It would have been much easier to say "Your lenses are worth less than the ones you are looking for", rather than cut him down about his machine and trade offer. JEEZ, some ppl

JEEZ, some ppl | look, the OP is perfectly capable of telling me to FO when he doesn't like my jokes, I doubt he needs you to stick up for him. Obviously a 9500 isn't a clunker and I was just throwing some barbs out. So lets not forget who is the victim here and had there feelings hurt, Kay?

I am not the type to whine and argue, don't worry. I just have been knocked in my threads in the past and know what it's like.
Heywood, I say congrats on your new PJ, and best of luck getting it to your liking!

Back On Topic...
My current screen is 74" wide... I'm hoping to get a few more inches of screen width. I've got a maximum reasonable PD of 104" (approximately) without crowding the PJs' tail-end..
Looks like 10s and 10Es are The Way To Go with my desired PD and screen size:
According to the table, 104" of PD will yield an 80" wide screen... With better raster maximization than the table assumes, I think I can get into the 84 - 86" range.
I'm going to do some focus testing with the 10Ls, but the table says they max out at 71" so I may be just beyond them with the current screen and probably no hope for 80-86"

On of my freinds here locally did exactly that until he could swap out the 10L's. The focus wasn't very good on the outer edges of the screen but it' not so bad that you need to run from the room.
