Thought it might be interesting to see how many people will continue to buy HD DVDs.

I wanted to buy Transformers, but I refused to pay $28.99 because it was a forced combo sh!t only condition. Now that its half the price I can continue to wait patiently. I see no reason for buying movies on HD DVD since Toshiba will not support its own. LOL Of course, since its the studios I am supporting it doesn't really matter what format its bought on.

Interestingly enough, some online stores are supposedly already listing Transformers for pre-order on Blu-ray.

I'm waiting for the fire sale prices.

I wonder if the HD DVD studios are going to put their HD DVD titles in a landfill like Warner Communications did in 1983 with E.T. for the Atari 2600...

If I can get some discs under $10, I'll bite on a few.

Well I'm sad and happy I guess, sad that HD DVD lost and I had to sell my XA2 to boot, but glad the 2 format war is over.

Did Best Buy, Circuit City, et al. get the memo that HD DVD lost? They are still trying to sell HD DVDs for $25 to $35. Gotta love that! "We're recommending Blu-ray, but please buy up the rest of our HD DVDs as regular prices!" I wonder if they will eventually sell out of their HD DVD stock or if they'll eventually fire sell the titles they have on hand. I'm certainly done buying HD DVDs from Best Buy until they get a clue and change their prices to reflect the fact that HD DVD is dead.

I bought Shoot 'Em Up on Blu-ray at Best Buy, opened it, and later I was in a Walmart and saw they were selling it for $5 less. So I bought it at Walmart, peeled the Walmart label off, and returned it to Best Buy. I was headed there anyway so it's not like I took a special trip to do this. Though I would have considered it out of principle! Amazon, eBay, and the Internet in general all the way for buying media! Though there was that one time when I bought Kung Fu Hustle off eBay and it ended-up being a bootleg. I think the box said Bruce Willis was in it. Ha! I have to wonder what kind of piracy will be going on for HDM and what role, if any, CH-DVD will play.

Two words "Yield Management". You sell it for as high a price as you can. I will not be paying full price for HD DVDs. Probably not even Blu Ray. Until the new release come down in price and for something I have to have now.

For BB, I'm sure you could have gotten an after the sale price match.

Did you miss the memo? BB no longer has to price match anything. I stopped shopping for anything there when they turned an ran from the local competition.
