|
|
Gentlemen,
I recently sold my Vision 1 to a gentleman up in NSW, Australia
When he's received it, he hasn't been able to get it to turn on.
I excplained that the power button on the wired remote (I never had a seperate remoe) needs to be held down for 5-10 seconds - then the power comes on.
For some reason, the new owner (his name is Ben) wasn't able to get any response out of the remote - so he put batteries in it. Holding down the power button still didn't work.
When I had it, the unit would work fine without having batteries - just via the grey wires.
Is it possible that the plug can be put back the wrong way around or is the plug keyed?
The fans on the LVPS are whiring. The amber light does not come on at the back
Any ideas?

Its OK .. response back.. : The vertical learning curve should start flattening out soon!
From Ben:
ok some good news.
I removed the lvps and checked the 3 fuses in it. Theres a slow blow
and 2 ceramics. All are ok. I put it back in, reconfigured the remote
to wired, plugged in the power and we got power. I turned the machine
on, at the moment there is not picture but the power indicator on the
back says things are happening. There is more noise inside as well.
Seems the lvps connector just needed a bit of cleaning (ie unplugging
and plugging in probably removed buildup on connectors).
The green and amber leds on the back are now lit up but I can't get
picture even when pressing test pattern.

ok all.
I took out the lvps that was in it. It was reporting failed on the back led panel occasionally so I changed the lvps and that stopped the occasional fail light but I still cant get any picture.
The boards between the guns are warm at the back end of the chassis. There is an audible click when selecting source 0 2.
But the led indicators on the source 2 (dvi card) don't light up.
Suggestions?

For the moment, put the original video board in - the only difference between the unit between my place and yours is that the video board has been changed. We can work on the DVI board later, once the rest of the unit is up and going.
What error sequnce was being displayed on the original LVPS?

ok with the original rgb500 board back in, it all works.
Now what jumper setting should the dvi board be set to for this model projector?
Cheers all.

The manual was in the seperate box - its a Moome DVI card (version 1). I didn't use it apart from making sure it worked so I can't tell you that much about how its used, but plenty of people here have that same card and will be able to shed some light on it

How do I set up an IFB-DVI-V2 for use in a marquee 9500lc/vidikron vision 1?
The jumpers give refference to only sony models with options for 15v, sub 5v, 6v or 5v dvi-d powered.

Hello
Are you trying to use a board for a Sony in your Vision One?

As it happens, it appears the wrong board was sent out. As most of you know, I'm bedridden and rely on my father to pack and send things for me. I'm blaming him. I will send the correct board out. Suprised the Sony board even fit in the slot
