Hi everybody!
If I get myself a Extron 202, can I be sure that I'll be able to connect my graphics card to the Barco via the Extron? Will that just work or are there any pitfalls?
Thanks in advance!

no pitfalls unless you get a noisy 202. The later the model the better, go for a 202Rxi if possible.
However, are you sure you need it, does your graphics card not drive the cables appropriately?

Yeah, sadly, I'm pretty sure that I need it. The only card I possess that can drive it is a Matrox G200 and only if I activate "sync on green". Other cards I have don't work, even if I switch them to negative sync (though I'm not really sure if they really output negative sync or if its just a driver option that does nothing).
With sync on green I get a pretty good picture on port 4.
I've been able to get a picture with a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro in 1024x768 with positive sync on port 5, but that doesn't work reliably, as the Barco looses the sync sometimes.
If you've any idea what I might be doing wrong, I'd be glad to hear it

1024x768 usually works in all barcos.
If that box add noise to rgb, you can use it only for syncs with cable mod.
Losing sync now and then is probably another problem. Adjusting Vhold pots from vertical deflection could help.

I did not think an 800 would accept pos sync. I use Powerstrip with my laptop, which only puts out pos, to force negative sync and don't have any problems with any rez up to 1024x768. Then you only need a 15 pin - to - 5 bnc cable.
