I lost my PM ability for my post on the HD-144 to HD-8 lens adapters. All I did was put a link to the Twin post.Just didn't feel like going to the work of posting the photos . Never even heard from a mod.I will post on threads but rarely and hardly ever go there anymore....

Well if it is any consolation it was that post that led me back to the Evil Twin (I hadn't been there for months) and from there I learned that Curt now had aforum. I am going to stick to alternative these forums for the time being. It has gotten somewhat quieter over AVS. Though I haven't run afoul of the mods I don't feel comfortable there anymore.

Ditto. Somehow, I can't believe I have not got a warning or anything over there, but I still don't feel as comfortable. Unfortunately, there as some people who don't want to come here or the twin, so that means some AVS use is required.

Funny, there's a flame thread over in the high end section (power cord one, it's an AWESOME read!) and not so much of a warning from the mods.

Oh, right, the high end guys have MONEY!

I tried to read the power cable thread. I couldn't. It's truly depressing to me that people believe that stuff.

Well, I'm not gonna touch this one, but their are alot crazier things people believe.

Why can't you ever get these guys to bet that they can tell the difference 100% of the time in a single blind test? I've tried with goofy things like this--they will never take the bet. My favorite part is when they say, "if you can't tell the difference, your equipment isn't good enough."

Hmmm, so a Barco Cine 8 Onyx isn't good enough? What is then?

Funny how things work out . The only forum on AVS I had book marked was the CRT forum and everything I know about CRT's I learned from you guys . Whats gonna happen when all the people with the answers dissapear ? Will it be all questions and no answers ? Maybe the guy with the gum will have to start answering CRT questions Laughing Laughing Laughing

I noticed cries for help on AVS. It has slowed way down. Mark and Doug are still answering questions, though. I think aside from here, I'm done. I do prefer to chat with people I have come to know (except Clarence, who SUCKS! Very Happy) rather than drone through a monotone of the same answers to people who can't use the search button.
I bet If I post a link to Curts forum or the twin, I'll get instaban.
Eh... I may just try it.

Marc

The only person in that whole thread that has 1 ounce of common since is Tryg.

I have mixed live sound for years, I currently use 18,000 watts of horse power, I agree interconnects make all the difference in the world, But even my custom built power conditioner is only as good as the source I can plug into. (you should see some of the breaker boxes in these clubs around here, scary)

Is it just me, or do others notice that extremely wealthy educated people seem to lack common since?

I say lets start a power cord business, Make some real beefy looking cables and claim there the worlds best and sell them for 4k
