Not sure if this is really an issue..but I put a 6PG system board in my 10PG and when I went to a higher res I got a screen prompt telling me I'm exceeding the bandwidth or something like that.

I was of the opinion that the boards are identical except for one or two parts...is there a part exchange I can do with the old board that would allow the projector to think it's a 9 again?

From what I've read, all of the PG series system boards are different between the 6s and 9s and the regular, plus and extra. Each board can be used in only each model.

I can use a 6 in a 9, as long as it's not a plus or xtra...which it's not.

Why don't you just use the 10PG's original system board in it ? Or is it bad ?

Ben,
You may have issues using the 6 in the 10PG. Have you swapped the 1E7's into the donor board? Doug

What H freq are you trying to run? What is it actually saying on screen?

I'll check what the error is, and yes, it appears that I did have to swap in a system board in order for everything to work properly on this 10PG. What an image though...it has a dimensionality that I've never seen before on any other crt.

Doug, thanks for the tip...I will do this shortly and report back!

Ben
