Update:

Had some interesting info from Greg Eisemann.

It may well just be down to convergence error.

Bow and skew on center, top to bottom grid.

Will try adjusting this as my set-up is not perfect.

May well take some time but as soon as i get a result i will post back!

Be patient for now 8)

In my case it was only H-linearity missadjusted by previous owner...
That 18kHz adjustment pot in Hdef board was set to min Rolling Eyes

Does this mean you have fixed the problem?

If so, what exactly happens when adjusting that 18khz pot?

I might get a look at mine this weekend and it is now confirmed that a professional calibrater will be looking at my set-up at the beginning of April so i don't want to waste much time as we will be starting from scratch when he arrives!

Yes, it is fixed now.
When adjusting that pot from min this "shadow line" moves to left and out from pic.
And as described this pot is linarity adjustment, so linearity is now ok too (that bad linearity
both sides of shadow). You have to use 18kHz, or near that, signal when adjusting this pot.
I just used 15,6kHz (PAL) to get rid of that line with this pot Neutral
There is also 15kHz adjustment with adjustable coil. I didn't touch it...yet.

I don't know what adjustments 1209 have...

Thanks Jam!!

I've decided to leave things until the calibrater comes in early April.

I will make him aware of what you've told me incase it can help my situation.

Will post again after that time Exclamation
