I was disappointed that the Pats didn't achieve a perfect season, but it was neat to see the big underdog pull off the win.

While watching, it really dawned on me that a football game is really two games in one, and that each team is really composed of two teams. I think it was a good Giants offense playing a good Pats defense, and a great Giants defense playing a great Pats offense. The Pats defense vs the Giants offense was probably a draw. The Giants defense vs the Pats offense was where the Giants had the edge, and why they won the game.

I originally thought the Cowboys offense choked against the Giants in the playoffs. Not anymore. The Giants just played great defense against us, the Packers, and when it counted most, in the Superbowl.

I'm just fascinated that so many people here watch soft core gay porn because they called it "football". Smile

I was at my son-in-laws watering hole with him when the squares came around. He put us on a square. He called me last night and asked if I knew who won the game. I told him I was watching Tiger win Dubai. He said I would be happy to know the Giants in an upset. This pleased me immensely. He then asked if I remembered the square. I said yes. He said we had P7 G3 and won 2 quarters. He said we missed 3 quarters by 3 inches and 2 seconds. What should I buy, new clubs, MP mods, 9500, or just give it to the wife?

Walt

Walt, the score was P7-G3 for the 3rd qtr, too.

Code:
Giants 3 0 0 14   17
Pats   0 7 0  7   14

How much was the square? The $10 square here ($1000 total) pays $200 for 1Q, $200 Halftime, $200 3Q, $400 Final

Or you could do a $20 square with $500/500/500/500.

It was the first quarter that was missed by 3 inches and 2 seconds.

I kinda have to agree. Where else do you see guys patting each other on the ass except for sports and a gay bar? Shocked Mr. Green

You're such an instigator! Razz

The ad wasn't new and it didn't play in very many markets (wasn't national). Also, it wasn't even in HD. Disappointing.

Yep, you're right. Funny... even after watching the game and re-looking at the box score today, I had a mental note from one of the guys I was watching the game with repeatedly drooling over the notion that his coworker with the P7-G3 square won Q1, Q2, and Q3.

But the Patriots scored early in Q2, so he was mistaken last night and that carried over into my mistaken notion this morning that the score was the same in the first 3 quarters.

But still, winning halftime and 3Q score must've been pretty sweet.
