Hi Folks,

Theres a guy I know selling a Barco 701 (with Sony 07MS tubes), but he doesn't know much about CRT projectors, and I might be able to buy it off him real cheap. He said: "Green globe has run out of time – we were watching a movie and suddenly it slowly went. I had a look through the lense they all seem to be white background coloured by their globe – if i look through red globe i can see red but at end I can see white background they all are the same. I don’t seem to see any [brown] patches."

I'm thinking its another problem.... not a blown tube... what do you guys think? Do you think its an easy fix or I should stay well away from this?

Thanks.

Well, you can always use that info to drive the price down..Wink

It's possible, but very rare that the tube filament opened and the image died out on the green. Chances are though that you have a bad neck card and I've got lots of spares.

Oh... don't you worry about that Mr. Green

So... worst case is I need to buy another green tube, best case is I need a neck card.... how much is one of your spares Curt? Easy to replace?

Get the set first, all three CRT sockets are the same, and swap them between tubes.

Hi Curt,

I bought the unit and swapped the sockets over... guess what?! The green tube now works! So it must be the neck card. How much for one of those?

Thanks!
