Here's my list (only stuff controlled by Crestron) CNMSX PRO and CT-3500

1. AmPro 4600 HD CRT projector RS232
2. TAW ROCK Plus scaler IR
3. Panasonic DVD w/sdi mod IR (why I have the ROCK)
4. Sony SAT HD-200 Directv receiver IR
5. Verizon Fios HD-DVR w/HD Fury IR
6. Yamaha RX-V992 IR (soon to be a Pioneer Elite)
7. NEC ISS 6010 rgb switcher IR
8. Lawn irrigation system contact closure
9. Driveway gate contact closure
10. driveway and exterior lights contact closure
11. theater lights (programmed but switches not installd yet) aka too cheap
12. Two zones of HVAC (programmed but thermostats not installed yet) same reason as above.
13. APC SU3000RMNET RS232 working on that as we speak.

Soon to be installed is a Sony BD player of some sort.

OK, back to work. I built a RS232 control cable and installed the APC PC software on my PC to test the operation of the UPS and the cable. All works as it should. Now to make it work with Crestron.

OK, back from Work. Nice setups guys. I'm envious. I would be happy today just to get ONE TP button to do anything!

MR BUD, shouldn't I be getting the RF indicators to light up on the STRFGWX if signals are going between the TP and MP2?

Yes, there should be some blinks of the front panel when you touch tp buttons. I just looked up the manual for the STRFGWX and there is an additional step to set the RF channel in the GWY. Be sure to confirm which channel is needed in the TP setup screens and look in the manual here at page 12

http://www.crestron.com/downloads/pdf/product_manuals/strfgwx.pdf

That should get you going Very Happy

If the processor and touch panel still have their original programming then yes you should get visual results but, if you've tried to download a new program that is faulty, the original would be erased and you would get nothing.

Now I'm having trouble getting a simpl+ symbol copied over from the sample program to my program. There are about 8 simpl+ "text change detector" symbols in the APC sample program. If I could just get one over to my program's userdb I could just change the input/outputs as needed. I can't tell you how thrilled I am with this project. Rolling Eyes

I tried to post this once and IE lost it- here goes again.

There are two files that need to go into c:\crestron\simpl\usrsplus\ Text.usp and Text.ush, then close and re-open simpl or refreash the project database (in options).

The "Text Change module" should show up in the "Symbol Library" under "User Modules". You have to have a CNX controller to use this module, it is not compiled for the 2 series. I think you said you have a Pro and not a pro2 so you are ok.

I did not use the module, everything worked fine without it, I just see a little flicker when the update ocurs, I sorta like that as I know the system is working.

Good luck!

If you open Simpl Windows and choose "Import achive program" under the File menu, and then select the downloaded zip file, it should put the modules in the proper locations for you. Then, rebuild the user/project databases.

Nice, I saw the archive/zip function but I did not know it would put the modules in their proper sub dirs. Good Tip Fuzzybee!

Well I'll be dipped_in_$hit. That was way to easy. I've been putzing around with this for hours. I could finish this up tonight but I told the wife I'd have the house cleaned by the time she got home from work. That gives me about 30 minutes Laughing
Thanks for the tip.
