I am looking at building a hush box with forced air ventilation and would be able to gain more headroom under, and free air clearance inside of the hush box case-IF I could remove the outer case top and bottom.... Has anyone had problems with running a Barco naked?
thanks

Most people remove the covers when they build a hushbox as the hushbox effectivly becomes a cover for the projector.

Kal runs his without the covers, it's an 808 but I think the same applies with the 12xx

BG120X and BG808 series work just fine without outer casing. The aluminum box inside the plastic housing controls the airflow. Just remember that the BG120X series has an extra fan outlet for the convergence tray on top of the chassis, when in table position.

Thats what I am looking for!! thank you all.

I have an option to use external ventilation with the hush box and will have a supply air path from outside of the room-my goal is to make the enclosure as tight as possible and see how quite I can get the room.
