I'm pretty useless when it comes to this stuff, is this pretty easy to install? As I said, I'd like to use it for both my projectors, so I'll need 4, how much will this cost me and how soon can they be made?

we want to avoid that, if one fan dies it takes out two. Its better to use an efficient switching regulator.

This is how I wired up my 4 belly fans;
I take it this is perhaps not the best way to do it?

it would work fine till one fan goes out then you lose half of your cooling and that can be bad for parts. other than that it would work just fine if you had a way to monitor the fans you could do it this way. like a buzzer or something to let you know you have a fan failure. or an led to tell you they are ok. you get the idea.
