The question is that if they have access to the used tubes then do they have access to the used projectors?

I think they just service the pjs.

I will say it before someone else says it. You picked an interesting place for a first post.Smile Some might consider this post a little disingenuous. Not me, though. I don't doubt this company is legit with all of the companies with CRTs in Florida. Of course, the easy way to know is if some member here would stop by and check them out. There is more than a couple of members in Central Florida.

You that is fishy 1st post and says that? He said that he would send me a set for review, and I emailed today to see if they had shipped, but no response as of yet.

So please now one jump the gun till we find out what is going on. I would hate to see anyone get screwed!!

I may take a snap at some time of my projector but why would I just top placate you? Don't buy them if you are so cynical. I really don't care.

people have been burned on the internet for thousands of dollars, so pardon us if we have a healthy dose of supsicion. For your 4th post here to be an insult and call us "wacko's" doesn't really speak highly of you.
I think the fact that you bought from a company that only sells 9" tubes and installed them in an 8500 is fascinating.

Hehe, you're on the ball, nice catch. So that would be an 8500 conversion to a 9500, new lenses and housings required etc....

That was a fast turnaround time, from bare tubes to converting 8500 to 9500. Does not add up to me.

I don't know, as I am not that much of a snob like Techman. He used to always admonish people to buy brand new tubes and nothing else. I could live with "7" rated tubes for $250 apiece. If I could pick up a a burned out Marquee for cheap, then I could have a decent 9" pj for an inexpensive price.

Tiffany,
Good luck! Are you the company that Scott from VDC talked about? I think he mentioned that there was a company in Orlando that was sitting on a big stockpile of tubes.

As dropzone said, is there any 8" tubes on the way? That would make a lot of people happy.Smile

We are in the process of getting a list together of the CRT's we are able to get, when that is finished I will update the website and post a message here.

Thank you,
Tiffany

I'll go so far as to say impossibly fast. I did my own 8500->9500LC conversion and hell, you have to let the silicone dry for ~7 days, and that's only the half of it...

Tiffany,

What about a local forum member stopping by your company and checking things out? That would put an end to all the speculation as to whether you're legit or not.

Well it seems Curt doesn't want to talk about it. I can think of only two reasons:

1) He got burned and he's embarrassed.

2) He didn't get burned and he wants to keep this honey hole a secret.

I'm inclined to think option 2. Even though I'm sure he would be embarrassed about getting scammed, he would warn the rest of us, if for no other reason than to extract at least a small amount of revenge on the scammers (a small amount is better than none).

so now Tiffany's Tubular Outlet is a Honey hole? You guys are a bunch of Pigs! Mr. Green

i'm pretty sure this legit guys, I don't see anyone going through this much trouble to scam someone out of a measly $250. This useless character i'm not so sure about, even though we really are a bunch of Wacko's you should have at least 100 posts before poining that out.
I have an 8500Lc here that could really use an affordable set of used 9" tubes for a conversion, so hopefully nice used tubs from this place keep coming.
