Has anyone ever tried one of these. Would it correct the porch issue when watching 50hz PAL without using a scaler ?

Why do you wish to do this, most CRT projectors will handle both codes

Just wondering if it can be done without a full blown scaler but using only a format converter. I know a bit of scaling is still going on ...
