Anyone else noticing funny problems with AVS. I just posted and noticed that all the threads are showing up upside-down (newest post on top) and my username was changed (Now same as it is here) and my post count was reset?
Anyone else having problems?

I just checked and my old account is still there. I've PM'd the mods about the account and hope they can close it before I get booted for having more than one acocunt.

Did you accidentally create a new account there or something? How would that forum's database get a whole new user account in it?

I don't see how I could have created a new user account, though it is possible. What is really unusual is how everything in my profile was copied over to the new account.

People have always told me that I'm a special case
The Mods removed the "account" and all is well with the world again

That's good. I guess you won't have anything to worry about unless your 'roommate' starts bring your girlfriends home with him.

Same thing happened to me! One day I couldn't log in and noticed the "data breach" message for users to get a new password. Well, I followed the steps and got a new password, but my account name changed from "Colton" to "Shawn Colton" (something I wouldn't use). So, something glitched and I had no idea my old account ("Colton") was still active. No idea how it created a new account with my full name, but the Admin wasn't having it and I found myself banned.
A few e-mails to Mike Lang (Admin) and I get a very short reply about having "multiple accounts". I pleaded my case and told him I had no intent of having two accounts and that something must have happened during the password reset. Well, he wasn't having none of it:
He wrote ...
You created two accounts: Colton & Shawn Colton.
Both times you first stated you read and agreed to the forum rules which clearly state:
"Registering more than one single account on AVS Forum is a strict violation and will result in all accounts being terminated. AVS Forum accounts are permanent and cannot be altered, deleted, or replaced."
... and that was that. I guess it's just not possible that something glitched on their end. Can't believe how they treated a longtime user (since 2001).
-Colton
Reading thru the AVS forum, I stumble across this (someone with the exact same issue, but Mr. Lang seems more forgiving).
