Is there any way to tell what is causing the HV shutdown? Not sure if it's a bad flyback or the focus control(I have the original focus control). When I disconnect the connector with the HV test signal leading to the Vert. & Horiz. sweep board the set will power up with HV. Is this projector even worth fixing? (I got it for free) Any help is appreciated.

Focus block most likely. If you have the old style, you need the new style. Check the 'tips'section of the main site for pix of the old and new style. I've got the new style in stock.

Brooklyn, I appreciate the PM, but if you've got info to share, why not post for others to read? Surprisingly a buncha people still use these..Smile

DOH, you already posted it's the old style. Email me at curtpalme@shaw.ca re the new one unless Brooklyn has one to offer.
