I'm toying with the idea of adding a real-time chat feature here. Something separate that people could use to chat real-time.
I'm not entirely sure how useful it would be. Looking for input.
Curt: How about you? Could you use this to talk to your customers or would you rather have people use the phone as it's probably faster/more convenient?
Kal

What Curt needs is an online trouble ticket system. It would make his cust interaction much more efficient as he could copy and paste from a bunch of stock answers.

I would like to be able to "live video chat" with Z's girlies
I think it would be a good feture to have.....
There are people who I would like to discuss things with in almost real time, if we were both online at the same time.
The use would be about once every 2 weeks for me BUT I do think a good feature.
Will be of help to those trying to sell stuff as well.
As always thank you for making this site what it is Kal, your work is much welcomed
Andy.

Ok! I'll look into it... shouldn't be too difficult. I'd like to do it so that it uses your forum name automatically (so it would only work for registered users).
I used to run a BBS (years and years ago) and the while the forums were popular, the real time chat was fun at times. Not useful really, but an interesting diversion for those that wanted to use it.

All hail the mighty Sysop. How long before I can be validated? lol
How about a nice game of Trade Wars 2002? Dam I miss the old BBS days. 300 baud dial up accoustic coupler and a dumb terminal.

Kal -
are you trying to get me fired from my cushy G-job.
Chat and Porn are about the only two ways to accomplish that feat.

Kal-
You're great. I've tried the chat room and it works just fine... ...except my ADSL line of course...
Pete... you were right!

Kal,
1) Does this prog interface with IRC in any way? (So I can view with MIRC)
2) Can I have 2+ chat rooms open at the same time?
3) How can I change the text so I can differentiate people other than me? Currently, all responses by everyone are the same font/color (Including myself).
Good job though. Nice feature to have...

Nope. Not at all. That's what I wanted. Completely private/standalone chat room(s).
2) Can I have 2+ chat rooms open at the same time?
I don't think so. It'll log you out of the first. Why would you want to do that anyway? Only way to do this would be to use two different browsers with two different Forum user names.
3) How can I change the text so I can differentiate people other than me? Currently, all responses by everyone are the same font/color (Including myself).
Good question... is there not a way to do it now?
Kal

I have seen that you can change the format of your text.
Kal- I think this chatroom would actually work for quick tips on line.
Thanks again Kal, I still think we aren't saying it enough time.
Have a nice one!
