The set up remote was working when I shut off the nec now
it's not working it won't turn the nec back on or anything.
and I've checked the batteries also.

You didn't change the projector address did you? I think that could make the remote not function. I could be wrong...but its worth asking.

Are you using the remote via the infrared or with a hardwire? I remember when I was programming my universal remote I couldnt figure out why it wasn't working with my hardwired remote still plugged in.
Turns out the hardwire will disable the IR port until it is unplugged. Kind of a bummer...

the small remote works fine. its the setup remote not working now. but was working just fine
untill I turned the projector off.

That actually makes sense because in the case of a stack or multiple projector setup. You need a way to restrict what projector you are controlling. Thats why I asked about the projector address. I forgot about the wired remote. That will come in handy after I build my hushbox. It really doesn't help halftrack out right now though.

Just out of curiosity, John, how do you reset an NEC remote?

Take the Battery out of the remote to cut the power to it. and it will reset it self to code 00.
Thats what the manual says to do.
