The best to start is here: http://www.curtpalme.com/TechTips.shtm
And then there are topics here with some step by steps: http://www.curtpalme.com/Advanced_Procedures.shtm
If I might editorialize though, it seems like a lot of work for a 700 series when there are a ton of good condition 808 Barcos for sale cheap, or even 1208,9s.

Also, this one is for the 800 series but I suspect that a lot of the tips should apply: http://www.curtpalme.com/docs/BarcoGraphics808s_CRTReplacementProcedure.pdf

was removing silicone to remove old lead and the old silicone completly fills
boot and hole for lead to connect to tube point where i had to cut the boot to
get lead out.
can this cause lead to leak and arc?
leads were not like the ones on the origanal tube boot was much larger.
