Okay, the continuing saga of my ECP--
Background - picked it up cheap off of craigslist, had a horizontal hold issue from the git-go. Sent the boards to Curt, Curt changed a few chips and sent them back. The ECP worked fine for about a month then the horizontal hold went nuts again.
Found an NEC PG9+ for cheap on craigslist. Bought it but it has enough wear on the tubes to make the PQ from the ECP better. I remained indecisive about sticking with the NEC or going back to the ECP. I asked Curt to send me another Dallas chip and then shortly after found a complete set of boards on ebay for $10. So I thought I would switch back to the ECP so I could have something while I search for tubes for the NEC. Swapped the complete set of boards out in the ECP last night, fired it up and all was good. Did the quick guided convergence just to verify that everything would be hunky-dory before taking the NEC off the ceiling and putting the ECP back up. After about 30 minutes the horizontal hold goes all wacko on me again.
Now don't get me wrong - I know the ECP is worthless to start with, but I can't stand the thought of this thing kicking my ass. I'm not much of an engineer type, but it seems to me that there is a problem with something that is not in the boards. My simple thinking is that there is something in the high voltage that is shocking the boards. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have a multi meter you can test the LVPS voltages with? Maybe they are off and slowly killing your boards.

Check the +24V line on the LVPS.. It caused similar problems for me. Dropped to 17V or something and the H.Sync was lost.
