|

Hi there everyone,
I just want to confirm the location for the "lower fixation latches" (referred to as A' B' C' D' in the manual) for the red and blue lense/cooling housings on my 701s - are they really those little hexagonal 6mm screws visible if you look down from above, and if so why don't they have a flat-head screwdriver slot like the "Upper fixation latches" (A B C D)?
I have the right screwdriver for A B C D and it is long enough to reach A' B' C' D' too. Do I really need to wait until tomorrow to get myself a super long and super skinny 6mm nut driver just for this? If so, what were they thinking? Is this some kind of anti-tamper measure? Its certainly frustrating my attempts at converging my set tonight!

I think your doing the same thing as me. Meaning trying to move the blue and red tube side to side horizontally to align the crosshairs. If so then yes you have to loosen the bolts that are stright down on each side of the CRT. I did this at lunch today. I was able to use a short nut driver and an extender but it was a tight squeeze on one of them.

Ah thankyou for confirming that for me. Yes you are right I'm trying (in vain) to align the crosshairs! lol
Wierd how they don't use a screw with flat-head screwdriver compatability, especially in such a tight space...
