The next time I set it up, it will be in its permanent home. My question was can I have it sitting on a shelf 8 feet up or do I have to hang it upside down?
I am reading the manual which is why I haven't started setting it up yet. I' m trying to get a good handle on the manual before going through and doing it for real.

Hang it from the bottom of the shelf. That's what I was thinking of doing with a scaffolding before I built this cart.

I was looking at it again. Yeah, the tubes naturally angle up so if I want to have it up high it needs to be upside down. Now I have to read up on flipping the image...

I just found it in the manual. Looks easy enough. I've opened it up enough times now, I'm not as scared as I was to touch stuff.
I wonder if I should have a shelf built into the wall or have a beefy and tall piece of furniture...

Just so long as you can hang off it and it doens't fall down. You'll be fine. No paper mache shelves need apply.

I actually have a big old corner TV cabinet that held an old style 36" tube TV. It's strong and heavy, but I don't know if it'd survive being chopped down to fit the space. It isn't very high though (6 feet). My other option is a huge shelf on a cantilever, but that might look silly.

Make it look like it belongs there and is part of the room. Dress it up a bit. Maybe make a hush box and paint the whole thing to match.

My only concern is it will be two thirds of the way up, then there will be a huge suspended air duct, then nothing. I'll try to post pictures of the room and maybe you can help me figure it out.

I'll try to do some measuring when I get to the new place today or tomorrow. I take some photos and see what you think.
