Hello
The 9000 has not been built since 1994 where the 9500 Ultra is the current model, so consider hours of use and reliability as well as tube condition.

Buy them both and put the better tubes in the Ultra and then sell the 9000.
Chris.

Assuming they're both the same price, I would choose the 9500. Even with the wear on the green tube, It's still a better machine in every way.

anybody knows about pjs differences ? | it would be easier to tell you what is the same = nothing The boards will physically swap but your talking about a complete electronics re-design in 1995 for the 9500 and then a smaller but still significant design change in 1999 with the 9500 ultra. They're 2 generations difference in circuitry. Think of 2 computers 5 or 7 years apart, there is no comparison.
