TV/Projector: Electrohome ECP 4100

I currently have an Electrohome ECP4100 projector (native resolution 1280x1024). I use a DVDO iScanPro processor which has limited scaling capabilities and limited source inputs. My primary input sources are now my PS3/Bluray, an upconverting DVD player and my Comcast cable with 1080i HD. I am trying to get the best picture from my HDMI sources. I heard about the HD Fury.

My questions are:

1) Can the Electrohome figure out how to process the signal from the HD Fury without a separate video processor?

2) … and if so then could I then just get a simple HDMI switcher to manage movement between input signals?

3) I have about 10 feet of cable between my equipment room and the projector. One cable is 5 separate BNC to BNC. The other is an HD15 that splits off into 5 BNC at the projector. Which cable option would be best with the HD Fury.

---- OR ----

4) Is there a different recommendation for maximizing HD source quality with the Electrohome projector (which by the way I am thrilled with). It seems like the video processors I have looked at do so much more than I need done and are very expensive.

Someone please point me in the right direction. The local home theatre guys just want to sell me a new projector.

The DVDO iScan Pro has no scaling abilities. It can de-interlace and it can transcode, but it cannot scale.

I would suggest buying a 4x1 HDMI switch from Monoprice, some HDMI & HDMI-to-DVI cables , and the HDfury. Digitally collect and switch signals to the HDfury and have it output RGBhv. Of course, you will be resetting up those inputs. Smile
