In theory yes, but as my G90 is color calibrated by the lumagen, I need to make shure that the settings in the new Moome card do not disturbe to much. It seams that best would be to recalibrate all, but I have nobody near who can do this, so I am now reading GREYSCALE & COLOUR CALIBRATION FOR DUMMIES since hours. But even if I understand the concept I still need to organise the tools.

Sounds like this site has everything you need!
The difference in greyscale adjustments should be very minor. You shouldn't have to adjust much at all. Just make sure to write down all the original settings first so that you can always go back to them if needed.

Looks very good, but some Names on the plate are missing. If you install the projector up side down on the cealing they can be quite useful.
HDMI:Input 1 left / Input 2 right ?
LED: Status Input 1 left / Status Input 2 right ?

The status lights are not for left/right inputs (see the manual).
More labelling would be useful but this is typical Moome. I would not suggest delaying shipment of the product given that the plates are already done. This card is very much a "install it once and you're done" type card, and 99.9% of people will never look at, need to look at, or even be able to see the status lights anyway (due to ceiling mounts with hushboxes/etc). They're really just there for troubleshooting.

This is my first post to the forums
Ordered one of these for my Sony VPH-1272Q. I've been using s-video to connect an older dvd player with s-video and thought I would pick one up so I could connect my PS3 to play blu-ray disks or my PC to play World of Warcraft or the new game Spores by EA (very addicting!) using HDMI. For sound I have a RCA 5.1 surround sound that I have been using the digital connection with. I'll have to get me a new one so I can get the sound through the HDMI cable.
I got my VPH-1272Q off of ebay for $250. and about that to ship it by freight. So about $500 for a unit that has just a bit over 500 hours on it and after a day finding the manuals online, the picture looks great. I can tell this is going to be an expensive hobby!

Hello and welcome to the forum. You are correct. It can be an expensive hobby. When you get it all setup run 1080i and 720P into your projector. A 1272 can take a 1080P signal but it looks terrible and really pushes that poor projector hard and makes it heat up fast.
How long have you been in this addictive hobby?

Wow - going from S-video to Moome's IFB-FULLHD will be a massive jump in quality. I'm sure you'll be surprised!

Just hook up the sound from your source devices via TOSLINK/SPDIF. No need to use HDMI unless you want to get into lossless audio (only available on Blu-ray and HD DVD).

Moome's been having Craig Rounds of www.cir-engineering.com put the IFB-FULLHD card through its paces. He received it on Friday of last week and has been doing some testing this week. Craig is a pro calibrator who personally owns a G90 and a TON of test equipment (See his website for full details).
He loves the card so far. Here's a quote from him:
| Quote: | Kal, the board looks really good in the projector. I had a nice gamma plot that I was going to post today but somehow I managed NOT to save it properly and it was lost... so now I will have to redo the plot.
I will say this, I have the card / G90 set up now so that I can see the "just above black" bar next to window patterns on my VP403 with windows from 0 IRE through over 70 IRE. This is with rich inky blacks and a perfect gamma curve of 2.2 through the entire luma range.
The card has behaved flawlessly for my testing and seems very solid. It also deals really well with long HDMI cables, better than other previous cards I have seen.
I do recommend it and will post more info as time permits. I have done only a little calibration with it, and the card already looks good. I've watched Sunshine, Mission Impossible 3, 5th Element, Bank Job, Decent, and Ratatouille. Some of those are not exactly reference, but the board is doing well. Sunshine with its black details and dark glory looked absolutely fantastic. Everyone who was watching with me was really WOWed.

Hey guys, I just posted this to the other forum, but I figured I'd throw it over here as well...
| Quote: | What other video equipment besides the G90 are you using in your video chain?
Are you getting the blacker than black (ie. below black) and whiter than whites (ie. above white) signals to appear? |
Here is DVE BluRay with my BDP-S300 set to 1080p @ 60 Hz in YCbCr color space going directly to the IFB. I turned the brightness up to MAX on the G90 so that you can clearly see the BTB is there.
Also, color is correct with the player set to component so the new IFB is capable of properly seeing and decoding YCbCr.
More questions please.

And this...
Also, I just looked at the color decoder and it is really good. In component space the Rec 709 color bars look nearly perfect when connected directly to the new IFB.
With RGB the colors are still almost perfect. So if you want to run this card in YCbCr or RGB at least you know the colors will be correct.
