After many different settings
The best for me:
OPPO BDP83 -> HDMI/HDMI--> Switch -> HDMI/DVI--> FARPOUDJA DVP1080 -> DVI/HDMI--> IFB FULL HD V2 -> Sony G90.
Color space and Faroudja IFB 16-235 Gamma Max.
Colorimeter HCFR with Color Display LT probe.
Can not have horizontal curve Gamma ...
Nevertheless the picture on the screen is very beautiful...

Nice Gear so you must have a great image..
perfect Gamma may not be possable without Lumagen Radiance VP or the like so you can perform
upto 21 point Gamma & Gray scale.

What Size and gain projection screen are you using Yves ?

No the Video EQ is not A scaler/VP only for CMS gray scale & Gamma..
The Lumagen Radiance XE (HDMI 1.3) or lesser XD (HDMI 1.1) offer's Every thing in one box..
HDMI custom resolutions/timings custom aspect ratios,
No ring Scaling and Per-pixel motion adaptive HD and SD deinterlacing which is far superior to the Faroudja..
The issue being it is'nt cheap, the Lumagen XS with HDMI 1.3 can do most of what its bigger brothers can do but is much cheaper..

The Beauty of HDMI 1.3 is you can output YcBcR 4:2:2 (10-12bit) from the Oppo - input YcBcR 4:2:2 into Lumagen then output 4:2:2 into the Moome card which is the holy Grail...

Yes HDMI 1.1 supports YcBcR 4:2:2 but no Bit streaming of the newer HD audio codecs..
However I cant recall whether HDMI 1.0 & 1.1 support Deep Color ? as most Blu-Ray players are HDMI 1.3 & can upconvert 8 bit 4:2:0 on Blu-Ray Disk to YcBcR 4:2:2 @ 10-12 bit thus allowing us to keep bit depth at 10-12 bits to the Moome card/projector..
In Most cases DVI only support's standard RGB @ 8bit ....

HDMI 1.3 supports deep color but bluray does not. Right now it's more of a marketing gimmick than anything else.
I was under the impression that Bluray was encoded 4:2:2?

No Blu-Ray is the same as DVD stored as YcBcR 4:2:0..
It is better to send as high as Bit depth as possable, So even though on Disk is only 8bit Once upconverted to 10-12 bit
Its best to keep it at that higher bit depth to the Display Device..
Please remember our 5BNC analog inputs & CRT Projectors Can support well beyond Deep Color the bottle neck is the DVD/Blu-Ray and the HDMI- HDCP that is the issue for us..

Ok believe me I know. Digital has been nothing but a PITA and was positively laughable when it first came out. DVI back then couldn't do 2048x1536.

Ok.
I was with RGB +HV. When I used DVI, I can assure you that the image was better. Now between DVI and HDMI, it is more qualified.
As you explain, it is also a problem of encoding of the source.
But all the players and the TV or projectors are now HDMI, (G90 with IFB Moome).
With my Faroudja, which is excellent, I have to use a switch + an adapter DVI / HDMI.
It certainly has to damage a little the signal.
I am going to try with VP50 pro, because Radiance is too much expensive...
If I obtain better that Faroudja, later I shall add "VIDEO EQ", for the gamma.

I use A VP50pro in my Video chain, I run Custom rez of 1920x800 @ 48Hz with reduced porches to eliminate flicker
Using YcBcR 4:2:2 Color space..
The VP50pro HDMI 1.3 inputs /outputs RGB @ 8bit YcBcR4:4:4 @ 8bit and YcBcR 4:2:2 @ 10bit..
Seeing the Pro does YcBcR 4:2:2 in 10 bit there is A large Dicernable difference in image quality when switching between Calibrated Video RGB @8bit and 4:2:2 @10bit BTU-709 Especialy in Color Gradation..

Another question:
Curently I use a cable dvi / dvi, which I shall replace later by a cable HDMI / HDMI.
To test VP50 pro, if I use adapters DVI / HDMI, the signal YCbCr, will pass?

No I think To Pass YcBcR it must be HDMI all the way
But maybe if the Source is HDMI, VP is HDMI And Display device is HDMI and you use HDMI-DVI-DVI-HDMI cables or Adapters it may work But I have never tried..Howerver It may Corse HDCP issues with that many adaptors in the chain...
All you can do is try the DVI-HDMI adaptors at either end of your DVI cable and see if it works..

I questioned the brand of cable "SUPRA", who confirmed me that to make cables DVI or HDMI they used the same cables.

I just saw that the Faroudja accept the "10 bit" via DVI
This last generation processor, includes a new track dedicated to 10-bit "processing" high-definition video. Able to manage multiple broadcast video resolutions (12 different), its function is to convert from the bottom up and down video signals.
Conversion ascending
The DVP1080 converted eg video signals to 1080i resolution to 1920x1080 pixels (1080p).
Down conversion
The DVP1080 adapts optimally to 720p or 1080p signals in 1366 x 768 pixels (resolution used by many plasma screens).
But I think that only RGB and not YCBCR 4.2.2
