Ummmm...is there a jumper that needs to be set for the power like we had to do on the older cards...ie one position fo 70's and 90's, one for 1292's 72's etc.....? I don't see that listed any where in the manual, maybe it auto senses now???

For those who has gotten their cards back from me so far, it would be much appreciated if you posted your observations if any from the difference after the changes that were made by me.

Post them here on this thread.

Also, here's a few comments so far sent directly to me:

Quote:
Hi Mike,
Got the card yesterday. All I can say is WOW. I had no idea it would look that much better. The clarity and resolution is unbelievable.
You have done Moome a great service and I applaud you.
Cheers!

I was watching Monsters Inc last night. I noticed details I'd never seen before eg the veins in Mike's eye and the complexity of the fur rendition on Sully. The gamma also seems better sorted too. This may sound strange but it seemed a bit too good as it was easy to notice the layering used to create an animated movie. But the image is so engrossing that that's quickly forgotten as the viewer gets drawn into the scenes thanks for the convincing presentation.

Moome's card is first class and delivers High Definition as advertised. I have never been disappointed with Moome's advancements and this is no exception.

Mike's service and end result are exactly as advertised. I really do see finally parts of the picture that I've only seen in other peoples screen shots. The only downside (which is really an upside in the end) is that I can also see flaws in my setup. That just gives me an excuse to do a complete re-convergence and calibration with my new CalMan pattern generator that has been collecting dust since it arrived.

Thanks again Mike and Mr Moome for such a top notch product and customer service. Absolutely better than advertised!

Oh, and a question. On the newest card the green link light stays on if an HDMI cable is plugged in, even with the PJ turned off, power cable unplugged and ON/OFF switch on PJ cycled with PJ OFF?...is that a normal behavior of this card?

I can tell you the Marquee card is great. I was watching the Watchmen yesterday and the scene in the alley where Dan and Lori mutilate the muggers was definitely improved. There are posters on the wall in the alley that I couldn't read before, but now I can. Thumbs Up

This was after Mike Parker "Repaired" it.

I actually got to sit down and critically watch a movie in the cinema last night and all I can say is I was completely blown away by the picture I was getting using the new v2 card. I think sometimes when people tout a new product they may be over hyping it but even to the untrained eyes of my children, the difference was absolutely apparent, and the hype is in this case the truth. The card is awesome.

it is normal, if you turn off the HDMI source, like your player, the Light will off.

Hey John,

I have the parts here to do the upgrade. I am not allowed to give out the parts, but if it is easier to send me the card feel free to do so and I'll fix it for you. Shoot me an email and I will give you my address again.

Use the Faroudja only for older sources that need upscaling like VCR, old gaming systems, etc. Otherwise there's no need for it.

Kal,

If I would hook up any HD sources directly to the IFB-FULLHD v2 card.
frequency sent to the G90 will be 24Hz or 60Hz?

G 90 will not work correctly with 24Hz to low refresh rate
In your situationYou need to set your blu-ray player to output 1080p @60hz ..

A little confused here -

There seems to be three people involved with this card, Moome, Mike, and CIR, with people shipping cards back and forth between parties.

If I purchase the latest revision card, do I have to ship it off to Mike for the MP mods? If I have an existing card, can it be modified to current specs?

In short, is the latest revision card read to go out of the box (MP-mod wise?)

Thanks,
Jeff

Thanks Kal,

For 1080p/60 I can directly on the IFB Moom, 48 or 72 is really better?
The Faroudja DVP 1080, converted only 50 or 60 via DVI, but the picture is beautiful.
A VP50 PRO is a better choice, with 48 or 72 via HDMI?

Cheers

Yves
