I just bought a house that has a Runco 943 installed... the projector has an old directv HD receiver using BNC(5) to 15 pin cable.. a DVD player running on an S Video cable and a VCR running on a Video cable..... What would I need to do to set this up for a HD-DVD player ???

All you need is a component switcher to switch between the component output of the HD source and the HD DVD player. The 943 will accept a component input signal by pressing 5 or 6 on the remote.
You'll also need to change the SVGA end to RCA, or run a new set of cables to the projector. Hardware wise, you're pretty much good to go. Get the cheaper HD DVD player, the set won't do 1080p, but will look great at 1080i.
Cheers!
