He and I have swapped emails. I made an offer. Let's see if anyone tops it.
(my offer is well over $1K FYI).

A hearty good luck to anyone who buys it. I would imagine the scariest thing would be trying to make sure it doesn't re-nuke the tubes you replace the deflection burned tubes with.

If the YA board is fixed, then you can run this PJ even with the tubes that have burn marks on them for a while to make sure that everything is working fine.
I guess whoever buys it will know what he is doing...

Anyone check if the YA is one of the boards that Sony no longer stocks?
(I would but it's not still something I would move on at it's current rate.)

$2k for a G90 with known electronic problems and deflection burn on all 3 tubes? That's insane, you're looking at $10k for just the replacement tubes from sony. Not to mention that it's questionable when someone starts a secret auction where no one can see who the other bidders are. There's an auction option available on Videogon for only $5. but instead it's all done in a concealed manner.
There's a pretty nice G90 on E-bay now opening of $5k and it only needs a Green tube to be perfect, much smarter buy IMO.

Well you'd be MAD to buy whole tubes from sony instead of bare LUGS.
But I agree with your point Dragan. Even for free this thing would cost a fortune to get running..

well yeah bare lugs at $1300. each would better but you would have to be really brave to install even $4K in a machine that just burned all 3.

Looked up the YA board on Sony's Part site and couldn't find it.
They usually have all the boards listed even if they don't still have any.
Many complete boards are just out of stock forever now that they stopped making them.

To get that YA board going, you'd have to send it to Sony in California. Sony then charges you for the repair as if they were selling you a new $1800 board (which is what the price was when they were available), but only repairs the board.
So even if it's an open resistor, you're looking at an $1800 bill to fix the board.
JohnHWMan in France went through that earlier this year, it's documented at avs somewhere.

Gents,
Please understand one thing - I am selling this PJ because I do not want to deal with repairing and calibrating it again. I am sure that the person who will buy it will use it for parts, and not going to rebuild it, unless he has access to low cost parts, and it will make sense to repair and sell it.

Hey,
I still hope it's bought by someone that would re-build it rather they savage parts from it.
I bet Curt stands the best chance of simply repairing the board and replacing the tubes and turning a profit on it.

I don't think I can repair the board.. So whoever grabs this needs to spend $1800 up front to get it running. That's my guess anyways.
