|
|
What is the narrowest seat that can be had and will be comfortable enough to sit in through a movie? I'm trying to cram two seats into where there is only space for one. I probably can come up with four feet of space. I started to look at office chairs and though of the love seat option. Anyone have any ideas? What is the width of the newer theater seats at the movies? I like the idea of having a folding arm rest in the middle, allows you to get comfy if you so desire:)
Thanks, Deron.

Berkline and some others have seats that are 23" wide. Two of them with arms (no center arm) are 54" wide.
For even narrower, a row of 2 real theater seats is generally around 50".

I was going to say, measure your friends asses and go with the widest as the standard. (I'm so going to hell for that).
The problem with too wide is I've noticed many people, men too, seem to feel the need to sit down with their leg under them which drives me nuts and I'm sure doesn't do much for the seat cushion over time. My 25 year old son and my wifes 55 year old brother BOTH do the same thing, same leg, in the SAME seat in my HT. When I hear they're coming over it makes me want to replace the seat real quick with a park bench.

I've always wanted to do that, all I need now is for my girlfriend to go out of town for a week or so and leave her car for me to experiment

Hit the junk yard for a Dodge Daytona and steal the buckets out of it. They are one of the most comfterable seats I've ever owned. I have one as my office chair.

You could also buy the aftermarket buckets fairly cheaply. Though I don't find those are wide enuff for me. I'm a wide dude across the shoulders.

For me, the thing I had to keep in mind was that the seating area's width had to accommodate my butt and the wives legs for when she's riding me. Yee-Haw!

I use these so I could get as many seats in my 11 ft wide area. Chairs measure 38.0"Lx30.0"Wx40.0"H and they recline. They sit very well. I only have to get up during long sessions of XBOX.

Thanks, Deron. | Hey now a days there are so many options for the accessories for the home theaters. Actual enjoyment we would have if there is good accessories. I have found one site related to it theaterseatstore.com .U can visit there to find ur solution.

I fit 12 seats in a room about 12'6" X 20'.
The Jaymar seats are beautiful but they do take up a lot of room.
