Hey Ray, did you get your sig from your neighbours? Laughing

CIB I've hears about them. Too bad I can't even run my little 10" sub without complaints. I gave up on my sub and went bass shakers.

The signature just seems to follow me since I was born, funny though, I did hear some of the neighbors mumbling it the other day. At least they give me a wide berth. And since I own a construction company and fix stuff for them for practically nothing they are very neighborly and usually just leave me to my devices..but I digress I really did and still do like the Bass shakers. For low level listening and good shakes they are tops in my book

A $800, 100x6 watt Yamaha complete 6.1 system with lovely chipboard speakers... Smile

For the price they sound awesome... until I can afford that Rotel 200wx5 amp and processor, still not decided on what speakers to use then... probably build them myself with VIFA drivers.

Oh, and 3 subs, 1x12 inch (rear) cost $150 on Ebay and 2x10 inch (front) came with Sony system.

That saying is often used in the South where I grew up. Or at least, people used it when refering to me... Shocked

Urei Studio Monitors

JBL 2242H Subwoofers in custom cabinets.

Still need to do some trim work around the Urei's, but it's getting there.

Welcome to the forum!

Nice system. How do you keep it so neat, and where are all the other 'spare' CRT projecotors? Very Happy Or are you one of those guys I've only ever heard about that can buy only one?

G'Day,

I've got JM Lab (Electra) spekers for centre & surrounds & Osborn for left & right front. Osborn are made here by an Australian designer who uses JM Lab drivers. The result - perfect!

I use Musical fidelity monoblocks on the centre, surrounds and Copland valve amplifiers on the fronts.

I have yet to take some decent photos but will very soon and will put them on.

My strengths are hi end audio, this crt projector stuff is new to me, i'm getting there.

One thing i must stress with an AV setup, Quality first! a fantastic sounding music system brings great rewards in home cinema mode. A fantastic sounding home cinema does not mean you also have a great music system as well.

Good to see other enthusiasts have got great systems.

Will post more soon.

Am I the only one with maggies?

Mains: Magnepan MGIII with brand new tweeters
Powered by a Yamaha M-80 power amp

Rears: A pair of AR 94s. Can't beat free.

Subs: two 12" car subs powered by a car sub amp.
The car amp is supposed to run off of 12 volt so I have it hooked up to the 12 volt rail of a computer power supply. I have a toggle switch that turns it on and off by shorting two specific wires.

I've just started on the system and for a college kid with very little budget, I think I've done well.

Klipsch Hereseys fronts and rears, Klipsch Cornwalls I think, (a little smaller than the Hereseys, w/8" woofers) for the sides, Pioneer center, and an RCA 200 Watt powered Sub w/12" woofer, which I found at a tag sale for $10, which works well and sounds fine for me, the Pioneer auto setup told me to turn it down to about 2/3 volume. Driven by a Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXV, 130 watts x 7.
