|
|
I got a new hdmi switching-receiver (onkyo ts-rx875 receiver) and got problems with too many scan/refresh rates
so the "you have entered delete memory block...." popup EVERY time i switch unit.
I use the Upconversion option on all sources to HDMI 1080i or (1080p if i get that to work)
HD-FURY on barco port3.
SAT (PAL svhs) gets = 28khz/50 hz on the projector
PS3 gets 33.6/60 (hdmi input)
PC gets 44?/60 (hdmi input)
And the internal settings menu in the onkyo gets one, but i have many sources left to assign.
I hoped to use only input 3 (before hdmi i used 3 for fullscreen and 93 for anamorpic image)
So i reseted ALL memoryblocks, now i have come so far that i have used 4, but many sources is to be input still.
Like: VCR, PS2, XBox, Dreamcast and i guess all have different rates..
I thought the receiver would upconvert/scale to ONE FIXED output frequency/resolution, but it is not
So.. How many different settings can i have??????

You might want to get a Video Prcoessor - I think the new Onkyo Integra has an inbuilt VP.
Check videogon for some good, cheap second hand ones if budget is an issue.
Kind regards

Not an option for me. Such things are too expensive in sweden.
I just want to know how many inputs i can have before the blocks run out.

No problem -
after, once you find what you want proceed with normal tweaking to automatically store the information.
Q: How does the Barco memory bank system work on later projectors?
A: Later projectors and later versions of projector control software implement a new memory system to enable up to 8 different geometry set-up's per frequency block. To enable the system go to service mode and highlight Memory Banks then press enter so it reads On (7 series projectors: The setting is under memory management). There are still 32 memory blocks in total but now one frequency can have up to 8 different set-up's like 4:3 and Anamorphic geometry or differing contrast and brightness settings. An active existing block automatically becomes memory bank 1, to create or access another memory bank press enter followed by any number from 1 to 8. Once more than one memory bank exists press enter once to see what bank is in use, pressing enter repeatedly will cycle through all banks that match the incoming frequency. Pressing 9 in front of an input number still works the same, for example using 5 for port 5 and 4:3 geometry then 95 for port 5 and anamorphic geometry.
Attached is something else

1208 have older memory block system, but it can handle same 32 different blocks.
Only two block can have same kHz and 3/93 buttons are used to select between those two.

This is complicated i think.. i only use port 3, so a straight answer: will i be able to have lets say.. 10 different refresh/scanrates on "3" button??
