I have the opportunity to pick up a local Barco 701S for $50. It's got an EHT error. From reading here and on AVS, there's a board that needs to be replaced. I haven't seen the tubes or hour count. I'm not sure if it's worth fixing and reselling or if it's even worth parting out.
IIRC the 701 has HD145 lens but they may be clear and not color filtered.
The little door is still there. Hell! I saw Curt sell one of those for $20 on ebay. Easy to ship to.
It's got lens caps. Which I want.
What do you guys think?

It is worth $50 even if the only thing you manage to do is sell parts to others with sets in need of repair...this is true of almost ANY CRT with a few exceptions of course...

Grab it. If nothing else if the tubes are good, I'll shoot you at least $100 for those alone.

Someday I might be interested in a set of clear HD-145's for my Marquee as I've already tinted the glycol.
