My Runco 991 (NEC XG 852) needs a new green tube (actually all three, but the green is by far the worst).
I digged out a like new P16LJE08 green. Very Happy Do I have to mod the neck board of the XG due to the missing KH grid compared to the original P16LJE07s? And if so, can anyone give me the information, which mod is necessary? In the forum someone said something about lifting one resistor there, but didnīt say which.
Thanks
Michael

You can just fit them and they will work.

I lifted the 3M3ohm resistor on the neckboard from the KH grid to ground, but it's such a large value it doesn't seem to matter that the G1 grid is running to ground through it.
