Does anybody have a pointer to specs on the Marquee 8500 (180DMB22) and/or Sony G70 (P16LJE08) tubes? I'd like to find the phosphor chromaticities (xy) defined for those tubes.
You can find the standard chromaticities for e.g. Trinitron P22 phosphors, but I have no idea how close those are to the phosphors used in CRT tubes. Any sources?
Failing that, could somebody with a known-calibrated colorimeter measure the primaries of an 8500 or G70? (Pull the lenses so there's no color filtering or color correction, point the colorimeter at the bare tube, display one color at a time, and measure it.) This would require that you have pretty clean tubes, since obviously any serious wear could affect the primaries.
