First i would like to thank all for the invaluable information available on this site, it has been without doubt the reason i went crt instead of lcd or dlp.I have had my d50 for 12 months and produced a handy picture via component, and have now upgraded with a moome hdmi card also about to put in the chain a dvdo vp30.Now i want to dial in my pj as tight as possible and doing it via manual available on this site,my question is what frequency should i use on the pj before i hook up the dvdo. The manual says 31.5 but if i dial the pj in at that freqency and then set the dvdo at something higher say 50 or 60 will i have to go back and do it all again.

I would not set up the projector until the DVDO is connected. That way the projector will lock to the DVDO's signal and you'll only need to do it once.

I think you should, the first time, set up your pj to the resolution and frequenzy you will be using most of the time. Say 720p at 75 Hz, for example.
And since your downunder, then wait until you get the DVDO, don't know about the VP30, but the HD/HD+ has some really freaked out timing settings on PAL in default, and you really want the VP to play along with the pj, lest you get a really bad head ache.
