can i use HD144/145 lenses on a electrohome ecp 4100? i'm considering buying an HDfury and 145 lenses... will this significantly make an improvement in my picture? i don't have a HDdvd player, only an upconverting DVD player with 1080i/ 720p. currently using a DVDO lined doubler with Svideo.. has to be an improvement.

Your ecp uses tubes that have colored coolinliquid, so you need to found clear hd-145 lenses (seleco svp-500 uses those) or you must change cooling liquids to clear and use colorfiltered hd-145 lenses. Propyleymglygol is ok for clear liquid. That lens upgrade is quite good update...And after that you upgrade your ecp to 8" em focus projector, keep those lenses.. Smile

well changing cooling liquid is pretty much out of the question.. i'm new to this stuff.. what would happen if i put color filtered lenses with tinted glycol CRTs? would it be too dark or too saturated?
