picked up local today. somethings wrong with the control board. power button does not fire relay to power up unit. i have manually fired the relay and it powered up. has built in tuner and was able to tune in water world. any thoughts on its worth? only has composite, lazer disk rf, and standard def tuner.

Well, that explains why they got rid of it, then...
I don't suspect it's worth that much *as a display device* but it is kind of awesomely retro. I bid on a local thing that was similar but didn't manage to get it.
If the tubes are in good shape and it throws a good picture it might be worth fixing just for the retro factor. Invite your buddies over, throw in some VHS tapes of your college football games...
