Recently there were some posts about cm johnson being tardy with items not shipped for months and such
Well,..... have I got a story for you
Last year in october I paid $437 to Doug for a green p16 necxtra tube
Yes, I can be very patient but that is over now
Of course I went through the paypal thing and Doug contacted me saying how that was his only source of funds and blah blah blah
So like a nice guy I lifted the paypal dispute trusting Doug not knowing that I would not get to use it again and well
Lie after lie and B.S. after B.S. has come out of Doug since
Does anyone else have the same problem with him,btw I would call him names to vent but he does help people, even if they are unsuspecting victims and I am supposed to be above that or something like that
Can you see it in your heart to pay me back Doug
Thanxx

well I promised to stay out of these sort of things but I would leave CM Johnson out of this. Any dispute with him is irrelevant to the subject.
GO_SEAHAWKS, would you please change that?

I would suspect Doug more of getting pissed at a guy and telling him to screw off before anything else. Laughing

Bill,
Thought we were trading this for service work on the Seattle trip. PM or e-mail me. Sent the group a e-mail to respond back last week. I got yours back on the 8th. Thanks, Doug

I appreciate your changing the title. I was preparing to speak to Curt about it.

What's past is past and YOUR issues with Doug have NOTHING to do with ANY issues that anyone ELSE has had with ME.

So kindly don't involve me.

And that was a REAL NICE Rolling Eyes first post from you here. I hope it's not an indicator of how you're going to be
in FUTURE posts. Thumbs Down

I had been out all night and missed the replys
First off, sorry cm johnson I did not try to piss you off just comparing the situation no offense as I don't know you at all...Sorry
I am not politically correct and see no reason to change......see what I mean
Doug wants me to trade the $437 he won't return for a tune up on a projector with a toast green tube
That doesn't make much sense to me since I have a runco 980 ultra that I will be putting up soon and wont'need too much tweaking...I bought it with all the paperwork saying it had just been calibrated by a reputable seattle firm
In december of last year he told me he would be up in two weeks or so to settle this or trade something or whatever
That was a long time ago
When I first contacted Doug he sent me pics of a tube that he probably already sold to get me to buy
That is the act of a swindler
I should've gotten a tube from someone else....duh
Every time we talk I have given him trust but he has not come through with anything
Why would I want somebody in my house I don't trust
Many people would not be so patient
Videogon has feedback from someone else who got taken as well, but again I trusted him
I trust Curt
I fully beleive he would go out of his way to refund or fix or complete the transaction
I no longer trust Doug
Will you pay me back so everybody can see you are not a swindler and a chief
Yes ,I am calling you out Doug....be a man

If you want to change what we are doing e-mail me because it involves parts. Three weeks ago you were going to change to the Plus or the Ultra but still wanted the service work done. You could have said something on your e-mail last weekend. I did reply back that I needed to know if you changed models. This sucks Bill. Doug

It sucks almost as bad as asking for a refund over a dozen times and not getting one and then being told that I should wait, not get what I paid for, have you come up and adjust a pj that is going to be replaced in a year or less
Now why would you send me pics of an item you were never going to send
Just pay me back otherwise YOU'RE RIPPING ME OFF
I'm not saying your time isn't valuable, but it is not what I paid for and not what I want
If you didn't want this kind of thing to happen, don't screw people
Bill

Well, I have been way to nice to Doug.

He was in a pinch so I loaned him my system board out of my 10PG so he could test another 10PG he was working on in town. After I got my board back it was not working properly, had to fix the problem myself, used my back up system board. This seems like it was a couple of years ago now. I have heard every excuse under the Sun, if Doug would have put as much effort into getting me my board back as he did into his excuses, I would have my board by now. I have given up trying to bug him to come through with the board he owes me as it is been a big waste of my time.

I have no idea what his problem is, forgetful, too much on his plate, unorganized... I mean he seems like he wants to take care of things, but in my case he dropped the ball.

Deron,
I brought it with me twice when I was at James's, thought I left it there once so it was close to being back. No excuse though your right. Its here. Doug

Correction I think. The back up board is the one that didnt work, the other one did when we pulled it but will need to look back at my e-mails.

Please just refund me and show everyone you aren't a swindler and a chief
Waiting patiently since 10/4/06

This has nothing to do with this ongoing argument, but I just want you to know what you wrote above makes no sense. Unless a projector is used in EXACTLY the same orientation (compass orientation) in the same location, with the same sources, and on the same screen, it will require tweaking. In other words, unless you BUY the house it's installed in, you're going to have to tweak it.

There's no such thing as "calibrating a CRT projector ahead of time".

As soon as you move a CRT projector, the magnetics have to be completely redone.
As soon as you use different source devices, different cables, different resolutions, different screen size, the setup has to be redone, the colorimetry has to be redone, etc, etc, etc.

Any seller that tells you they'll completely set up a projector for you before they ship it to you or sell it to you is full of sh*t.

Kal

Which still doesn't help me as that green tube isn't perfect either
The whole point for me was get a good picture in hd for the football season
I did not get what I paid for so how does that warrant any need for me having to accept something I don't want

I'm not getting into the argument.... just telling you that no matter what, whatever projector you buy will require 'tweaking' to set it up in your location with your equipment. You simply can't do this ahead of time.
