When I do the astig, the defocused green dot is larger than the red and the blue is a little smaller still. Should they all be the same size? Optical and electronic focus are good and the dots are round everywhere.

Mine vary too.

I think it's normal. I guess it's because the fixed Astig defocus amount moves each colour to a different point of the focus scale...hard to explain..

The astig controls only seem to control shape. If the dot isn't centered do you have to adjust the tabs on the tubes?

Also wondering if there are focus pots for edge/corner. My center focus for R/G/B are all around 0 but the edge and corner get better all the way up to +100.

I have the same problem and even at 100 they are not focused well. I am using Curt's advise and looking into the lens with sunglasses (Next time I am using welding glasses!!) and focusing the pattern right on the tube face with contrast at 100. Then finish the mechanical focus. I also find that the red grid pattern is larger then the other two colors and you can see some red on either side of the green and blue line. I am going to go back and redo the astig magnets then redo electronic astig, then redo focus and see if it fixes it. I will do some more reading before I tackle that though. Lens flapping rings are set properly but they are not exactly matched however I am still working on a mod for that. I would also like to know if there is another step that we are missing.

I have not touched the focus pots yet. I assume the correct proceedure for this would be to set all focus adjustments to 0 then while looking into the lens adjust focus pots to best position then do electronic focus in center, then sides, top and bottom then corners?

I got my bluejean cables today. I don't have a processor yet though. I planned to order a Lumagen but the pricing is so rediculous in Canada that I am unsure which way to go now.

Don't look into the lens. Never look into the lens - it doesn't work, the image is too small.

Look at the screen where it's MAGNIFIED.

If the flapping is out in a corner, adjust the optical focus to bring that corner into focus temporarily, do the electronic adjustment, then fix flapping later.
